I was recently prompted to create a website after getting mentally drained from slogging through the myriad of online sites and blogs and pages and posts, etc. on mindfulness. Yes, mindfulness has (rather annoyingly) become a "buzz" word (of sorts) and as with any buzz word that manages to infiltrate the zeitgeist of our ever-changing existence, we end up attempting to decipher if we should bother getting acquainted with it.
But, that's not how it happened for me. Mindfulness cornered me in the shower, on the highway, in the fridge, above the clouds (while on a flight...) in my dreams - everywhere! It grabbed me and seduced me so insistently that I gave in and chose to find out why.
Some may think of mindfulness simply as a sub-category of meditation and even as a Psychology graduate, I wasn't sure about the validity of this seemingly new movement - until I stopped ignoring it and started tiptoeing towards it. That's a tale for another time...
Today, I just want to share the purpose of this website as I proceed to develop it as intentionally, authentically and organically as possible. I want to provide a gentle retreat for your mind that minimizes the amount of time spent searching and researching online. I intend to build a site that is simple, clear, concise, informative and dare I say, soothing!
